To answer some questions about this shot . It was taken on a old rickety pier,with the TEMP around 38 f in the rain and fog. I waited for over an hour, holding on the a post with on hand and the camera in the other
I could hear the ship but could not see her! She was making 3 to 4 knots only, then the fog lifted for a few minutes and I took the shot and then I had to crab walked back ,on the slippery half rotten planks on the pier.
one of the most difficult photos I have ever taken!
